I haven't been here in forever since I've moved towards the DC area, but whenever I do come back to this little town, I wouldn't mind stopping here for sushi. I use to frequent this place whenever I had the craving for sushi. It is, I think, the best there is around that area. The owner and staff there are super friendly! They ALWAYS give me a coupon to come back to visit them. I can't recall a minimum purchase in order to receive one of these, but they hand it out like candy. PLUS, they give you a complimentary roll as well! And it was not any plain ol' standard sushi roll, it was more on the special side. But I think the complimentary sushi varies though because I see some photos on here with different 'on the house' sushi. Which is awesome! I love surprises. :D The sushi here is delicious. I usually order the special rolls and not the standard California, Philadelphia, etc. The volcano roll is great. They've set a standard on how good a volcano roll should be for me. I went to a different place around my area and ordered a Volcano roll, and boy, was I disgusted. The amount of spice they had on the volcano roll was perfect. I can't recall any other rolls I had, but I do remember them being yummy. I did not get sick after eating all the sushi, so that's always a good sign. Okay, I realize that I really like this place...kind of miss it too.

Owings mills roll and yumyum roll are my favorite. Spicy mayo with softshell crab meat in the roll tastes perfect! Have to try these two. Also the owner is really nice! I like this place a lot.

Don't let the 3.5 stars fool you into thinking this is a mediocre sushi place tucked away in Owings Mills. It's literally become one of my go-to restaurants. The best part is, they've added chicken wings to the menu. My boyfriend and I got to try some tonight, and they were delicious! They came out piping hot and crunchy. I think it was comparable to the chicken you might eat at BonChon or other Korean wing places. The sign out front does say that the chicken is marinated with milk, so if you have dairy allergies, you may want to steer clear. The spicy pork is delicious and generous in portion... as are most of the other entrees we've shared (that's right! shared!! We NEVER share entrees; that's how big their portions are!). It's hard to pick a favorite roll because there are so many, but I can definitely say that Da Bomb roll.... is da bomb. ;)

Very disappointing considering the reviews. The ambiance was not great with take out containers piled on the customer side of the sushi bar and on the seats. Salad was quite good with a dressing that I could not tell whether it was bottled or homemade, sadly this was the best part of the meal. Ordered the tuna tsunami appetizer which was very large (but should have been for ($13.95). The tuna was obviously pre-frozen and not that flavorful and the sauce was a bit watery and not at all spicy as described. The sashimi combo, at 15 pieces for $19.95 was a good deal and it actually came with close to 30 pieces, but sadly, it was the same pre-frozen tuna. Additionally, the yellow tail was not that fresh and neither was the salmon. Both had a fishy odor and were stringy. I did not bother to finish which is a first for me.

Very clean, quiet restaurant. We tried Sashimi Combo, Monster Role, Rock N Roll and Alaskan Roll, cooked sushi are better.

I've been coming here for about 2 years and it continues to be my favorite spot to grab sushi in the area. The place is small, but the service is fantastic. The sushi is really good, not the best I've ever had, but definitely good enough for me to happily give them my money to bring me more. Speaking of money, the prices are on par with your average small sushi restaurant. Some of the specialty rolls are pricey, but I think that is the case where ever you go. Definitely check it out if you are the area. There is also a great liquor spot next door if you are about that life.

OMG seriously, this is a GREAT sushi place. It's clean, the food comes fast and the owner is super friendly. They also have a wide variety of wines and sake. I highly recommend their eel and shashimi because it's super fresh and delicious. The only downside I would say is the lack of deserts available. But then again, it's so close to the mall you can just go there and grad a few snacks if you have sweet tooth like me! Five stars I highly recommend

Yuki Sushi is in a strip mall between a Dunkin Donuts and a liquor store. The ambiance is like an old nail salon. When I walked in, to the left of the doorway, was boarded up. It's very small - about 6-8 little tables. My party of 3 tried 5 different rolls - the Yum Yum roll, Crunch roll, Eel, Salmon, and Philly. The Yum Yum roll smelled very fishy & was greasy. We also had their wings. The wings were the best out of the meal. If a sushi place's fried chicken wings are better than the sushi, you should go elsewhere. I didn't receive good service and the sushi wasn't great either. I was really surprised by my experience because the reviews I've read were good. Maybe it was an off day for the restaurant, but I won't be back. If you want good sushi, head to Edo Mae in Owings Mills. They have 2 locations and much better atmosphere & better tasting food.

Yuki Sushi is a great family owned restaurant! The service was amazing and the food certainly did not disappoint. I bought a living social for this place because I had never heard of it and I haven't found a sushi place in the city that I love. The prices were reasonable and the bill ended up being $45, which is great considering that we ordered 4 rolls, gyoza, miso soup, and edamame. The service was great! There were two people working the whole restaurant and they took turns dropping off food and bringing drinks, which made for a really efficient system. All of the food items were delicious! We especially loved one roll that had tuna and salmon inside with avocado and spicy sauces on top. If you are interested in trying it out, but aren't committed to dinner here, they do have lunch specials for $9. :)

Really why is this place not rated higher!!!!! This place has friendly staff and amazing sushi!! Owings Mills roll, Yuki house roll YUMMO!!!! The wings were okay but I'm biased to bon chon. Really good. They even gave us a free "sample" of sushi with brown rice YES!!
(5)Jennifer M.
The rolls are always sooo good and fresh. My favorite is the Baltimore roll, with a pineapple sauce drizzle. Yum! Although I think some rolls are a little costly, they never let me and my strange cravings down.
(5)David S.
Food very good. The server can use some work , she seemed flustered . The place was busy and everyone seemed to like their food . Definitely will go back .
(4)Ty S.
I eat sushi a few times a month, but had never gone to Yuki until I purchased a Groupon. The plain sushi was good (Ian roll), but anything with a sauce was HORRIBLE. Best thing was the complimentary Korean wings that were brought to our table.

My husband and I have eaten here almost weekly for the last 10 months. It's a quick and quiet place for our date night. There is nothing fancy about the location but the food is perfect and the employees are always very friendly. We have been given edamame or sashimi on the house a couple times. We have loved the pink lady roll, dynamite, and pretty much anything else with smoked eel or salmon.

I had the opportunity to go here for dinner with some friends. In terms of ambiance and staff, it is a great place. The staff is friendly and is always ready to take your orders or fill water. The menu is extensive so there is a variety of different things for people to order if they don't like sushi My friends and I ordered different things. Almost everyone got huge portions for what they ordered. The entrees were huge and so were the sashimi platters. The food that most of my friends ordered were good. They bring out the food as it is ready so if your group wants food to come out all at once, make sure to tell the staff. The best part of the meal was probably the chicken wings that our group ordered before the meal. The sauce was nice and sweet and the chicken was fried well. However, I was very disappointed with my actual order. I had ordered the Spicy Beef Noodles. The waiter gave me the option of getting it with udon or ramen noodles. I ordered it with the ramen noodles as I wanted some thinner noodles with my dish. A friend of mine ordered the same with udon noodles. When I tasted my noodles, I immediately got a feeling like I've had this same exact flavor before. After having some of my friends try the broth, we all agreed that this tasted like the korean instant noodles that we make at home. I would have been okay with the fact that the noodles themselves were definitely instant noodles but for the broth to taste exactly like the powder ramen noodle packets was really disappointing. The strange thing was also that my friend who ordered the same thing with udon noodles had a broth that tasted totally different from mine. The beef pieces that we got in our noodles were also not seasoned. It just felt like little chunks of beef that they pan fried slightly and put into our soup. When we got our check, we were a bit surprised as well. My friend who had ordered the noodles with udon noodles was charged a dollar more than what was said on the menu. It would have been nice if they had informed us that changing the Spicy Beef Noodles to udon noodles would have an up charge. They may not have actually used instant noodle packets for their broth but it was very strange to taste the same exact flavor. If you are going to go eat sushi or their entrees, their food and service is good. However, I highly suggest that you stay away from the spicy beef noodles!

Came with my sisters for dinner to try a new sushi place aside from our usual spots. Although I enjoyed my rolls and 1 of my sisters enjoyed hers ... one had wool in her cup, another had hair in her water (aka minus 2 stars). The employees there are very nice though - and we even got free rolls/dumplings that were all pretty tasty.
(2)Bernice S.
No restaurant is perfect. But I still give 5 stars. There is something about this place. Small and quaint that makes me feel like Im in another country and most especially, like home. Its like one of those small eatery in Japan. Its comfortable and theres nothing pretentious about the place. Food is great!!!! Def one of my favorites! The servers are pleasant and I just don't have anything to complain about.
(5)Amber G.
Went for dinner with a LivingSocial deal. Had three sushi rolls and they were all terrible. They clearly used canned tuna for my specialty roll - gross! The yellowtail roll tasted like nothing. The spicy tuna roll had so much tempura it tasted more like funnel cake than sushi. Very disappointing.

I'm Sicilian, and i get emotional about things So, i calmed down and decided to give them another try They had a 50% discount ad on yelp. $50 coupon for $25. So, i bought the $25 coupon I call up and place my order. Ask for the total. $57. So i go to pick it up thinking i should have $7 with me. There was ZERO anything that said they would add a % to the coupon So i get there and i had paid $25 for $50 coupon, showed them my yelp voucher code on my phone. They whip out a calculator? They charged me 18% and all this other stuff. So, the end result was like $21__ on top of the $25 coupon i bought. So $47 for a $50 coupon So basically, it has no value at all I can't stand that sneaky, car salesman added cost They owed me $11 so they took that off but it was still $9__ on top of my coupon i aready bought I did one of those $25 for $50 before at "Artful Gourmet" and it was ZERO hassle. I gave them $25, they gave me a $50 cert. There was no yelp code, added % or whatever The sushi was marginal tonight, but i can't stand a hassle when it comes to stuff like this There was ZERO disclaimer that said they would charge me 18% I can do math. I wouldn't have done it So like i said, it's everytime i go here. They get my order wrong, they overcharge me, and tonight when they asked me for $21__ on top of my $25 for a 50% off $50 coupon was laughable. It's a ton of bullshit i don't need I gave it a 2nd try and that's that I'm done ****Also, i decided to order off the "Signature Sushi" Menu******* I ordered a "Spider Roll" which is fried soft shell crab. I think it was $7.95. Never got it, but i'm sure i paid for ir. I odered 2 eel nigiri which was 4 pieces. They gave me 6 pieces. Not sure if that was to make up for not giving me my roll? I'd rather just get what i ordered. I was looking forward to it too.

Yummy sushi!! Best sushi in the Owings Mills area, I've tried them all. Big rolls and lots to choose from, thick slices of tuna sashimi, delicious dressing, sushi was fresh and flavorful, consistently good, great, friendly service.

I just recently began eating Sushi. However, I only eat the cook Sushi. Anyway, I heard that Yuki Sushi had great sushi so I decided to give it a try. I got 3 different types of sushi. I tried the Spicy Crab roll, the Real Crabmeat California roll and the Owings Mills Roll. The Spicy Crab roll was delicious. It did have a kick to it as advertised. The Real Crabmeat California Roll was just OK to me. It wasn't bad but it taste like it needed some Old Bay seasoning. I don't know, it just was missing something to me. The Owings Mills Roll was the best. If you like Sushi you have to try the Owings Mills Roll. It is a Deep Fried Roll with Shrimp Tempura, Real Crabmeat, Lobster Meat & Old Bay with Sweet Sauce. I will be returning to get the Owings Mills Roll again.
(4)Kay J.
I think they had a really off day today.... My last visit wasn't so great as well... Today I ordered the lunch special ... I had a shrimp tempura roll and a salmon avocado with salad ... My salad was drenched in ginger dressing and my rolls were placed in the same container. Although one was hot and the other was cold... The fish also did not look or taste fresh....I won't be returning...
(1)D J.
Good sushi very reasonably priced. The place can use some tiding up and one of the sushi chefs talks slightly loud bossing the other one. I tried (the bomb) and it was very good.
(4)Sara W.
Have been to this place for weekday lunch over a dozen times and the service has gone way downhill. It took 10 minutes to get water. 15 minutes later, our entree was served before the salad. And it took an additional 15 minutes to get the check after we had to specifically request it. The place was only 25% full with customers at the time so I do not think it was a matter of being short-staffed. The quality of the food is average - there is nothing stand out about the sushi to deal with such poor service.
(1)Asha L.
This is the only place I could find that delivered to my house, so despite the crappy reviews I decided to satisfy my sushi craving. I won't do this again. First of all, they totally botched my order: I asked for chicken katsu and they gave me teriyaki that looked like my dog's poo covered in sauce. The chicken was so dry and the sauce was so bitter that it was totally inedible. They also confused my crispy calamari with some abomination, which is like a mushroom squid soup. Again, the squid was so tough I couldn't eat it. For 28 dollars, you could at least get my order right. And even if you didn't, the food could at least be fit for human consumption. I won't give this place my money again.

Horrible experience on both occasions I recently went here! I should have never given it a 2nd try after the 1st time but was trying to give them benefit of doubt. Basically 1st time I went a couple weeks ago was from a groupon deal I purchased.....they were busy and only had one server.....her was overwhelms so he never noticed us waiting to be seated so we seated ourselves....however I still couldn't get his attention to let him know we were there. But he managed to noticed the next couple that walked in and immediately took their order....meanwhile it was 20 minutes later he came to our table. Sushi was interesting, some rolls I ordered were average and some I couldn't eat.....seemed like the raw fish was previously frozen. The. The 2nd time we went it was worse unfortunately....they were very busy and overwhelmed again but had 2 servers. However it didn't make much difference.....our server had no idea what Uni was (which we did find out they don't serve there) and she must have just started because she actually didn't know much about sushi at all. I ordered miso soup as a appetizer and when the sushi came out 1st I told her to cancel the order for the soup....but somehow a server brought it over to me a hour after we had been there and were waiting to pay the bill. The sushi quality was even worse this time....something wasn't right about the rice....no idea what the sauce was on top of it and again obvious the raw fish was previously frozen. All the customers in there were irritated with the wait times and service! They have a lot of group deals out there and clearly can't manage the increase of business and if this place was ever good their quality has seriously dropped.
(1)MaryAnn C.
This is our favorite sushi place in the area- the staff is great, and the sushi is excellent. We always start with edomames and never leave without having a rainbow roll. The prices are reasonable and the only downside is that there is not a full bar- only beer and sake, but we can live with that!
(5)Katie M.
it was terrible shirmp tempura is suppose to have crisp to it. It was like eating slime and the dragon roll- that el taste bad(bad bad fish!!) some of the avocado was brown. The volcano was the best but wasn't the best Ivd had. McDonald would have been better to go to!!!!! Ugh so upset... Also made me sick.
(1)Fat T.
The name can be a little off putting but not bad for the area. Been here a few times at lunch and tried a few of their rolls. 4* for food 5* for service The owners of the place are nice. Support local businesses!
(5)Rob T.
My wife and I absolutely love the food here. I've tried a few other sushi bars in the area but none of them measure up. The food is just perfect. The Owings Mills roll is one of my favorite meals ever. It's so delicious. Tonight we had a first happen. The waitress just gave us edamame and an additional roll on the house. Very delicious and generous. In all the years I've come here, I've never had a bad experience. Keep it up!
(5)LC C.
This place is usually really good. I've eaten the food here several times and am always full and pleased with my meal. Everyone is really nice too! The food can sometimes take a while to come out, but its worth the wait.
(4)Michelle S.
I love sushi places, but I will not be going to this place again. The service was terrible. Every time we said something to the waitress she made us feel like we were not supposed to speak to her. While not outwardly rude, she was very short with us, and looked at me like I had two heads when I asked for napkins and eating utensils. On top on that, she never refilled our tea. I ordered the seafood soup with Japanese noodles. If I had known that "Japanese Noodles" meant getting $0.30 Ramen noodles in a salty/spicy broth with 2 shrimp, half a scallop & a sliver of imitation crab, I would have ordered something else. The seaweed salad was good, but that may have been pre-made. The meal was overpriced and underdelicious.
(2)Food F.
I really like this place! As far as nigiri sushi goes, I think this might be the best in the Owings Mills area. The pieces of fish are HUGE compared to what you get at Edo Mae Sushi, for example. If this place was larger inside, I would actually dine in and not do carryout all the time. Either way, keep up the good work!
(4)TH N.
Love this place, especially their soup. The udon soup and spicy noodle soups are all great here. Best sushi around Baltimore area so far. Good food and good service.
(5)Jamila T.
I was invited to check out this place after work. Small quaint place to grab some sushi. Our servers were very friendly, so service was great. I'd come back again for the special spider roll, which was made with crab. It was fresh and delicious. Spicy tuna roll was good also. However, I thought the special chefs rolls were a bit on the expensive side...
(3)Rick C.
The Sushi was ok, but the soy sauce ruined the meal. I'm not sure what kind they use, it is not Kikkomans, but it tasted horrible! Needless to say I will not be going back....
(1)Craig S.
Tsunami appetizers are the best! Other rolls were a bit bland, and not worth the price.
(3)Hansel T.
Got 3 rolls for lunch, Salmon, Tuna, Eel. Best portion size per roll I've ever seen. The Tuna was especially good. Did not like the miso soup so much, will go with salad next time. A great value and even though I was getting take out the staff brought my food to me and were really careful in handing it over. Great service.
(4)Shawn J.
I was taking an item in need of repair to Lee's Welding & Fabrication 9922 Lyons Mill Road ( leesweldingmd.com ) about 1 mile away. I ordered the Bento Box for carryout & was anxious all the way home! In 3 separate containers (Not to mingle flavors I'm sure) 1st was a large salmon w/ sweet glazed wok tender vegetables. 2nd was tempura shrimp & vegetable in a delicate shell. 3rd was 5 or 6 lovely assorted large pieces of fish topping PERFECT rice & 8 pieces Tuna Avocado Roll with requisite wasabi & ginger. I again had enough of a portion to share w/ a friend!
(5)Dennis R.
I'm a big fan of the few sushi joints in Owings Mills, Sushi Ya being my favorite, so I have to admit that I was a bit uneasy when I ventured into this unknown strip-mall locale. I am so glad I made that trip. You walk through the door and are instantly transported to Japanese oasis. Cool music plays and smiling faces greet. A pretty extensive menu awaits. Definitely try the Eel Sticks and Gyoza. Super fresh sashimi and handrolls. And some of the most eclectic Chef Rolls you will see anywhere... Alligator Roll -Shrimp Tempura, Smoked Eel Topped w/Avocado... Caterpillar Roll-Smoked Eel, Tamago, Crab Stick Topped w/Avocado & Crunch Tempura Flakes w/Sweet Eel Sauce, just to name a few. Also, they serve some of the best Japanese sake and beers. I highly recommend Yuki Sushi!
(4)Mark P.
In town for business and checked for good reviews. Also wanted sushi. This was the best, sat at the sushi bar and ate and watched! Ginger and wasabi were hot! The eel was the best, a must try. Would stop in again.
(4)Ira A.
Best sushi in the area bar none! Big pieces of fish and very fresh. Last time I had sushi that was comparable was in Seattle about 12 years ago.
(5)Josh A.
Good sushi. The owner is very friendly and will strike up a conversation with you sometimes. I like the atmosphere here, its small and quiet.
(4)Tiffany J.
The staff here is excellent, the sushi chefs are very knowledgeable, and this is by far my favorite sushi restaurant in the state! The rolls are innovative and fresh and delicous! If you are not a raw fish eater, you will love "Da Bomb Roll" ...the Rachel Roll is my personal favorite though. At one point, they were BYOB, but last I went, they had wine. Go here, and fall in love with sushi all over again!
(5)Ginny B.
I would give this 3 1/2 but I'm giving it 4 because of the sushi itself. The sushi was fabulous, but I could have lived without the numerous mistakes they made with iceberg lettuce. The "salad" was chunks of iceberg with a large puddle of water at the bottom of the bowl. The fried rice has shredded iceberg cooked into it...yuck, nothing worse than slimy cooked lettuce. We ate around the lettuce and otherwise it was pretty good, you could tell it was made fresh. The only thing that redeemed this these things was the sushi. Very delicious, beautifully made and fresh. Will return and only get sushi next time.
(4)Janee O.
Had the Raven Roll for my Birthday Lunch yesterday and LOVED IT! I defiantly recommend this spot to everyone. The Hospitality was Amazing. Need one closer to home in Laurel or Bowie, MD
(5)Charmaine S.
10/31/13 Amazing sushi in a local small spot. Enjoy their sushi and edamame. The rolls are fresh and made right in front of you. Love their eel sauce and the shrimp tempura roll! AMAZING!!!
(5)Marsha C.
The food here is always fresh, hot and tasty! Sometimes it can be a little cold in the restaurant so no matter the season bring a light jacket. Try the "Owings Mill Roll" and the chicken wings. Thank me later!
(4)Will M.
Wow! I've lived near them for over two years and never remembered to try them. We are not Sushi eaters so that was probably the reason. Regardless, tonight we decided to give them a shot and man oh man was it delicious. She got chicken teriyaki and I got filet and chicken. We also got the yakisoba noodles. Yum yum yum! Portions are huge. We have leftovers and I'm looking forward to that midnight bite. A little pricey for takeout ($50) but for what we got and the taste. I don't care. I'll be returning....often.
